The University of Tennessee Medical Center Health Information Center, located on the first floor of the hospital’s main lobby, provides patients and family members with a welcoming, comfortable, and functional space to access health news and information related to illness and disease.
This facility offers an extensive consumer health library, virtual and printed resources, and walk-in assistance with dedicated librarians and associates who are certified health information specialists and can help with research for specific health conditions.
The project included a large conference room, study carrels, high-density shelving, public lounge, computer center, and a main circulation and information desk.
“It has been my pleasure to work with Denark Construction on several projects here at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville.
Being an older facility, many UTMC projects have faced significant challenges during construction. Because UTMC is East Tennessee’s only academic medical center, Magnet® recognized hospital, and Level I Trauma Center, our campus is active 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, which in itself poses a challenge during construction.
The Denark Team not only met but exceeded our expectations as they relate to delivering projects safely, on time, under budget, and with high quality. In addition, Denark provided excellent customer service. We experienced a level of trust that is rare in the construction industry.
I would highly recommend Denark as a construction partner, especially on challenging and sophisticated projects.”
