McWhorter Building Multi-Tenant Renovation

Denark served as CM At-Risk for this restoration and renovation of an existing three-story building in Knoxville’s Historic Old City. The building underwent a complete interior demolition and adaptive reuse into offices. The exterior included new aluminum windows and masonry restoration on each elevation. The existing hardwood floors were refinished, new lighting and HVAC throughout. Due to the elevation changes inside the building, an ADA lift was incorporated along with a three-stop traction elevator. There is a rooftop deck area for lounging, which is surrounded by live plants and provides a 360-degree view of downtown Knoxville.
