Denark is currently serving as CM At-Risk for the new Knoxville Multi-Use Stadium and Infrastructure/Plaza/Streetscapes Improvements. The stadium will accommodate approximately 7,000 seats in traditional grandstand seating, as well as luxury boxes and more contemporary picnic pavilions, Band Box (outdoor restaurant and bar), and Party Pavilions that will accommodate a total of more than 10,000 people for concerts and special events. The seating bowl provides views of Knoxville’s skyline to the southwest. The exterior of the park is designed to be of stone, brick, and steel to reflect its location in the heart of Knoxville’s historic warehouse district.

As part of the over 14 acre development, a massive infrastructure upgrade was necessary to accommodate the area’s developments. This included over 700 Linear Feet of 48” Sewer pipe, 3,600 LF of Underground Electric Ductbank, 1,800 LF of Underground Gas Line work, 1,600 LF of Underground Storm Work, and more than a combined 3,300 LF of Water and Sewer replacement. The project had many above-ground challenges as well such as coordinating the relocation of a 69 KVa Power Distribution system, several overhead 3 phase power systems, and communication lines all required to complete in strict conformance to the project schedule and coordinated with the surrounding ongoing construction/development of the Beauford Delaney Building, Yardley Flats Buildings, and Stadium projects.

Additionally, three surrounding plazas and streetscapes with more than 100 trees and plantings, a water feature, Video Display Board, 10 sculptures, and outdoor spaces make the entrance and access to the stadium and surrounding development a beautiful addition to the historic warehouse district in East Knoxville. Surrounding the project, there is more than 1,500 Linear Feet of roadway and sidewalk that was removed, and either replaced or relocated for this landmark project.

Denark is serving as the lead CM for the project, in association with Barton Malow and Elite Diversified Construction, Inc. (EDCI).

“I am part of the development team who voted to retain Denark as CM of the Downtown Knoxville Multi-Use Stadium project. I am glad we made that decision. Denark has conducted its business with a very high degree of fairness, professionalism, and integrity. I have really appreciated their team-oriented approach to the project and continue to have great confidence in Denark’s ability to deliver on time and within  budget.”
