Park improvements included comprehensive redevelopment with landscape and hardscape enhancements including plazas, waterfalls, pools, pathways, and pedestrian bridges. The project included major rebuilding, restoring, and widening of the historic Clinch Avenue Bridge, and further included the installation of the Second Creek interceptor sewer line, replacing sections of the existing “brick” sewer that was over 100 years old with a new thermoplastic pipe material.
“I want to express our gratitude to you and your organization for the successful completion of the work at the World’s Fair Park and the related projects. Although the Park is the most obvious component of the project, the other projects including the Clinch Bridge Renovation, the Relocation of the 48″ Sewer, and the 11th Street Road Improvements were equally complex and required a dedicated management team to deliver the projects on time and within budget. Your hard work in making sure the contractors delivered a quality project, in addition to budget and time constraints, has paid off, as is evidenced by the success of the park as a public venue.”
